If you’re a freelance nurse writer who has published at least five articles in the past six months, you should apply for the next LinkedIn for Journalists event, scheduled for June 9, 2022. The deadline to apply is May 19, so don’t delay!

Those who complete the LinkedIn for Journalists presentation qualify for a one-year upgrade to LinkedIn Premium, which gives you unlimited searches, InMail credits, and the ability to see who’s viewed your profile (helpful for prospecting). But the upgraded membership is only one benefit of the training. During the LinkedIn for Journalists event, you’ll learn about a lot of cool tools and tricks for finding expert sources, former employees of a company, and data you can use to inform your health reporting.

LinkedIn enforces strict rules regarding who does and does not qualify for this training. If you primarily work in content marketing writing, for example, they will not approve you for the event. You must be a working health reporter with at least five published articles within the past half-year.

If you don’t qualify now, keep this event on your radar for the next time it comes around – usually quarterly.
